This site provides notes for two courses commonly taught in high school, Advanced Placement United States History and US Government (also called Civics). The book from which the APUS History notes are taken is The American Pageant Nineth Edition but they have been used with success in the eleventh and twelth editions of this text. The book from which the government notes are taken is unknown.

Please feel free to use these notes as you study their respective subjects but remember that these guides are designed to complement the normal course materials not replace them. Especially when using newer editions of The American Pageant these notes should not be relied on solely for a grade.
